Beerbike for Thai King Bhumibol (newspaper article)

Published on November 12th.
MIDWOUD - The Beerbike is conquering the world. At present, the West Frisian export product from Midwoud lies in the hold of a plane to Thailand. There, the pleasure cycle has an important role on December 5th, the birthday of King Bhumibol.

"The Beerbike". A Thai shipping company searched the internet and immediately became excited about the special bikes made by ‘Rondje Regio’ from Midwoud. The perfect vehicle to ride in the procession to celebrate the anniversary of Bhumibol. It contains beer after all.

“Where people are, there should be fun. And what is more fun than the Beerbike?” said Ard Karsten of Rondje Regio, which arranges day trips in the region.

The transportation of the bike proved to be a bit of a challenge . For it is quite a monster. Karsten has been working on it for days. “Finally, we removed the roof and made the whole package half the normal size. Because otherwise you pay for air.”
